Part 1 gives a brief history of the modern day guitar starting in the 1930s and working up to to the year 2000.
Part 2 explores various body styles and pickup configuations explaining why they produce their own individual sounds. Starting with the Gibson 175 and working through the popular Fenders.
Part 3 discusses the set neck solid body Les Paul and the semi hollow body Gibson ES335. Next he moves to the flat top Gibson J45 with an acoustic pickup and the modern day hybrid acoustic electric the Taylor T5.
Part 4 discusses driving tube amps and pedals with demonstrations on various amps, pickups and pedals.
Part 5 explors more overdrive and distrortion pedals then moves on to compressors and phasers.
Part 6 covers more details of the phaser then moves to a delay pedal then a reverb unit and demonstrates all of the effects in the series by bringing them in and out of the guitar mix. Don also touches on stereo amplification.
