I first heard the song like most kids my age in 1964 on the Meet The Beatles album. On doing research the song was written for the musical play The Music Man and in 1958 Sonny Rollins did a jazz version. Since the song has mass appeal it's a great one to have in your set list. This fingerstyle version in the key of "A" is not too hard but still interesting.
